Hey Ladies & Gentleman! As you all know, February is Black History Month! Therefore, I wanted to give a few ways you can celebrate Black History Month with your friends, family, and significant others!
I have included some events here in Boston for 21+ and kids! Also, here are some excellent books and movies you should check out!

1. BBBARS: Boston Black Bars and Restaurants Tour: Saturday, February 18, 2023
SparkFM is Bar Hopping to Our Favorite Black Owned Hot Spots With Dope VIP Transportation on February 18, 2023, from 6–10 pm!
You must be 21+. SparkFM will be providing a party bus for 30 stress-free VIPS.
We will look back at 50 years of HIP-HOP History while networking responsibly and dropping Bars!

2. Celebrate W/ Valerie Tutson Tales from African Traditions: Thursday, February 23, 2023
Valerie Tutson at JFK Library will bring life to myths, folktales, and historical stories from the African continent and Diaspora.
This event is FREE and is great for all ages. The event will teach you history through laughter and wisdom from 10:30–11:30 am!

3. Building Black Wealth Conversation & Networking Event: Thursday, February 23rd, 2023
Join MassMutual and NSBE Boston Professionals for an enlightening networking event and discussion about building Black Wealth.
Admission is free. The event will happen at 10 Fan Pier Boulevard from 6:30 – 8:30 pm!
They will be providing financial advice, and appetizers will be served!
4. Afro Caribbean Black History Gala & Awards: Saturday, February 25, 2023
If you have time, please check out the Caribbean Rum & Food Festival at Florian Hall from 6–11 pm on February 25 to celebrate.
General Admission is $50 & a Group Table (10 people) is $375.00!
5. STEPFEST: New England Step Show Competition: Saturday, February 25, 2023
The illustrious ladies of Iota Gamma Chapter of Alpha Kapa Sorority, Incorporated will be hosting the annual New England Step Show at Blackman Auditorium.
Doors will open at 6 pm, and the show will start at 6:30 pm.
This event is kid friendly!

6. 90’s Black History Month Skate: Saturday, February 25, 2023
Sponsored by the African American Association of Brockton, the Carousel Family Fun Center will host a 90’s Black History Month Skate from 7–10 pm!
This event is kid Friendly! Admission is $10, and skate rentals are $5.
There will be raffles and food available to purchase!
