Illegal rooming house in East Boston


City Officials in Boston received a tip of an illegal rooming house in East Boston. When they arrived they found an illegal apartment constructed above a garage with no smoke detectors, no second exit, and a kitchen that was built without a permit. The rooming house was being used as a crash pad for flight attendants based in Logan Airport, but city officials are calling it a death trap.





Boston Athletic Association bans Russians and Belarussians



The Boston Athletic Association announced that they have banned Russians and Belarussians currently residing in either country from participating, in either event, happening Monday, April 18th. For athletes outside of this case, they will be allowed to compete but are forbidden to run under their country’s flag. They have done this in support of the war that Russia has started against Ukraine.

President Biden extends student loan forgiveness

The Biden Administration announced that it would be extending student loan forgiveness through August 2022. Student loan forgiveness began due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the financial strain students in the US were experiencing. Many individuals are urging Biden to not only continue extending loan forgiveness but to cancel all student loans to allow better access for students to receive an education.





Orange County Police fentanyl bust

Orange County Police arrested two men leaving a home in a minivan and recovered 821 pounds of meth, 190 pounds of cocaine, and 20.5 pounds of fentanyl. 2 milligrams of fentanyl have been found to be lethal while 20.5 pounds could kill up to 4.7 million people. This is the largest fentanyl bust the state has had in 16 years. They have now charged the two men with felony drug charges and as a result, they could receive the maximum sentence of 37 years and 4 months.

Swedish House Mafia x The Weekend replace Ye as Co-headliners

Following Ye dropping out of Coachella, it has been announced that The Weekend and Swedish House Mafia will be Co-headliners on April 17th and 24th. The Weekend has experience with Coachella, performing at the festival 3 times previously. Swedish House Mafia was already scheduled to perform at the festival, and is expected to work well with The Weekend since they collaborated on his latest album, “Dawn FM.”





Floyd Mayweather returning to boxing

Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather is returning to the boxing ring this May. He is planning to fight “Dangerous” Don Moore on a helipad in Dubai in an 8-round exhibition fight. Floyd Mayweather has not been seen in a fight since the exhibition fight with Jake Paul so this is sure to get the viewers' attention.
