Maura Healey defeats Geoff Diehl to become first woman elected governor of Mass.

Marua Healey has become the first woman elected to governor of Massachusetts and one of the nation’s first openly lesbian politicians to serve in a chief executive position. Healey, the state’s Democratic attorney general, defeated Republican candidate Geoff Diehl, a former state representative from Whitman.




Yes on Question 2: Massachusetts passes dental insurance regulations

Massachusetts voters have passed ballot Question 2 by a 71.3% margin, making the state the first to introduce a rule for a “medical loss ratio” for dental insurance. The measure will create new dental insurance regulations, including an increase in premiums on patient expenses.




Andrea Campbell becomes 1st Black woman in Massachusetts history to be elected attorney general

Democrat Andrea Campbell, who unsuccessfully ran for Mayor of Boston last year, defeated Republican candidate and trial attorney Jay McMahon. The former Boston city councilor is now the third woman to hold the seat of attorney general in Massachusetts.

Slain rapper Takeoff to be remembered at Atlanta celebration

A celebration memorial for slain rapper Takeoff, a member of the hip-hop trio Migos, will be held on Friday at Altanta’s State Farm Arena. Takeoff, born Kirsnick Khari Ball, was killed November 1st in a shooting outside a Houston bowling alley.

Julia Fox Says Acting Prospects Changed After Dating Kanye: ‘I’m Not Getting as Many Offers as I Was Before’

In an appearance on Emily Ratajkowski’s podcast High Low with EmRata, Julia Fox shared that her former relationship with Kanye has negatively impacted her acting prospects. Fox admitted that she has not been receiving as many offers as she was before and believes people in Hollywood may see her as a “liability” or “tabloid type person.”
